Located in the hills of Southern Virginia, Triple Pines Farm is a quiet, family run, equine facility.  We specialize in quality care for retired equine athletes as well as temporary medical lay-up boarding.  Owned and operated by the Nelson Family, 

Donna Nelson is a practicing  Registered Veterinary Technician. She has over 25 years of equine experience and 13 years in the veterinary  industry.  Donna also has a passion for equine podiatry and trims barefoot horses.  

We understand the difficulty when finding a place for your horse to spend their retirement years.  With care specifically tailored to each individual, rest assured that you horses' well being is our priority.

Retirees are turned out in groups according to needs and personality and have access to  to a three-sided run-in in the pasture.  Twice daily the groups  are brought up for feeding and horses are inspected. 

With over 20 acres of grass pasture spread over 6 fields, there is plenty of space to graze and wander.
