Donna Nelson is a practicing Registered Veterinary Technician. She has over 25 years of equine experience and 13 years in the veterinary industry. Donna also has a passion for equine podiatry and trims barefoot horses.
We understand the difficulty when finding a place for your horse to spend their retirement years. With care specifically tailored to each individual, rest assured that you horses' well being is our priority.
Retirees are turned out in groups according to needs and personality and have access to to a three-sided run-in in the pasture. Twice daily the groups are brought up for feeding and horses are inspected.
With over 20 acres of grass pasture spread over 6 fields, there is plenty of space to graze and wander.
With her experience as a veterinary technician, Donna has the knowledge, attention and skill that it takes monitor a horse in lay-up.
Working in conjunction with Dr. Kirsten Tillotson of Tillotson Equine, an individualized treatment plan for your horses care will be followed closely and progress monitored at each interval.
Our lay-up stall is 12x12 matted stall with a small covered paddock adjoining.

Jackie and Bubba are meeting the newest addition, Odin. Odin is a Black Angus steer that came to us after a rough start. He has fit right in, and we sometimes wonder if he thinks he is a dog or a horse
Our 5 stall barn is complete with concrete floor, fans in each stall, tack room and hot/cold wash rack. The open layout allows for great airflow and is perfect for older horses with respiratory ailments
